Project and root base paths

Decision date: 2026-10-04. Status: path-handling decision retained; hosting first superseded by decision 006, now by decision 007.

The initial standalone private documentation repository had a GitHub Pages target and also needed local/root compatibility. Private Pages eligibility had not been verified. This context records the earlier choice; the selected host is now Git-integrated Cloudflare Pages Free at the root base, as recorded in decision 007.

Considered: hardcoded root paths, custom hosted backend, or a centralized base helper and static Pages artifact.

The original choice defaulted to /resilience-gate-docs/, centralized paths, and checked root/project builds separately, with a manual Pages deployment gate. The centralized path helper remains; changing the base requires a coordinated rebuild. Decision 006 first selected root-base Workers hosting; decision 007 now selects native Git-integrated Pages. GitHub CI remains validation-only, while relevant Pages Git pushes publish after the continuous path is enabled. The original Pages deployment guidance is historical, not an instruction to publish.

Changing base requires rebuilding content/assets/search together. Configuration does not establish a verified live URL. The prior repository transfer remains recorded in docs/website/audit/migration/repository-transfer.json; historical Workers checks remain under docs/website/audit/cloudflare/, while current Pages checks and remote status use docs/website/audit/cloudflare-pages/.
